Russell Wilson and Cam Newton vs Struggling Defenses
The previous two meetings between the Seahawks and Panthers were largely decided by both team’s defenses. That might not be the case on Sunday as both units have struggled compared to last year.
Newton and Wilson are two of the best pocket passers that can also kill you with their legs in the NFL.
When you’re watching them on tape, they’re fun to watch until you play them. – Newton
The two lowest passing totals Newton has in his four-year NFL career have both come against the Seahawks. In 2012 the 1st overall pick threw for only 141 yards against the Seahawks defense. In 2013 he did even worse, 125 yards. Newton was held to just 1 TD total.
Russell Wilson has found success passing the ball against the Panthers defense. In the two games Wilson has combined for 541 yards and 2 TD’s, throwing for 320 yards in last seasons meeting.
