The teams haven’t played each other since last season’s opener, which the Seahawks won 12-7. But both teams have come a long way since that meeting, with both positives and negatives attached.
The Seahawks come in to this meeting with a 3-3 record and sole possession of third place in the competitive NFC West.
They haven’t been under .500 since the 2012 campaign, but Sunday will be no cake-walk against a hungry Panthers team that is 3-3-1 and also trying to remain competitive in their division.
Seattle will be without seven starters in Charlotte, each of whom have injuries, but they have a healthy Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, both of whom can be playmakers against a weak Panthers defense.
Time is running out for the Seahawks to start winning games but they have a huge opportunity to start against Carolina.
Will Seattle improve to 4-3 and keep pace with the rest of the ever-improving NFC West? Or will the Panthers force a third-straight loss for the Seahawks and drop them to a losing record halfway through the year?
