Week 8 NFL Picks Results

Three of the panels five unanimous winner selections turned out to be upsets in Week 8 of the NFL’s regular season.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 500 yards against the Colts in their win wasn’t something any of us saw coming. The Saints climbed out of their funk at home against the Packers and the Dallas Cowboys lost on Monday Night Football to the Washington Redskins. With Robert Griffin III still out due to an injury and the benching of Kirk Cousins, Washington started third string QB Colt McCoy. It was his first NFL start in three years.

More from Seattle Seahawks News

The Seahawks proved us right for the first time this season as they defeated the Panthers in Carolina for the third consecutive season. That took a Russell Wilson fourth quarter 80-yard game winning drive to accomplish after both teams were held without a touchdown until the final minute of regulation.

Despite the win for the Seahawks they were unable to gain ground on NFC West frontrunners, the Arizona Cardinals who defeated the Eagles in a matchup of one-loss teams. With the 49ers on a Bye Week Seattle now sits tied for second and two games behind the Cardinals.

Editor Mitch Quesada was perfect with his picks for the Sunday early schedule but fell to 11-4 for the week after all was said and done. Mitch now sits tied for first with myself with a 30-14-1 record after three weeks.
