Just when you thought that Seattle’s list of injuries would start getting smaller, it keeps growing.
Six Seahawks have been ruled as “out” for their matchup against the Raiders at CenturyLink Field for Week 9 of the regular season. That means one “healthy” scratch will join Jordan Hill, Jeron Johnson, Byron Maxwell, Zach Miller, Malcolm Smith and Bobby Wagner on the sidelines and out of uniform.
With the First Pick
Max Unger is listed as “questionable” for the first time in two weeks and although he would be a huge boost to the o-line, it’s doubtful he starts against the Raiders.
Kam Chancellor and Russell Okung are also listed as “questionable” with groin and calf injuries, respectively.
Taking on the 0-7 Raiders comes at a good time with so many key players injured. Raiders rookie linebacker Khalil Mack could cause some issues for the weakened o-line. Mack has yet to record his first NFL sack but he’s been getting plenty of pressure on opposing QB’s. He’s already amassed 5 QB hits, 17 hurries and 10 tackles for losses in his first seven NFL games.
The Seahawks were forced to cut WR and returner Bryan Walters in order to add depth in the secondary. Seattle signed Terrance Parks off of the practice squad and added the safety to the 53-man roster.
