Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals: Matchups to Watch

The Seahawks face an uphill battle Sunday when they take on the Arizona Cardinals. Seattle finds itself looking up from third place to division leading Arizona, the reverse of their status in 2013. But the Cardinals came into Century Link last year and pulled off a surprising win, handing Seattle just their second loss at home in two years. If Seattle has any hope of reaching the postseason, they have to win this game. No team in the NFL has a tougher schedule going forward.
This year both teams feature weak passing games and exceptional defenses. Here are a couple of matchups to watch for during the game:
Doug Baldwin vs Patrick Peterson – Baldwin has 44 receptions for 485 yards and 2 td’s this year as the Seattle wide receiver corp has struggled to separate themselves from coverage. Peterson is one of the best CB’s in the league, though with 26 tackles, 2 int’s and 1td, he is also experiencing a slide in performance. Baldwin will have his work cut out for him trying to shake off coverage by Peterson and have a productive day.
