The Panthers are meeting the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field

A big one is looming on Saturday at 8:15pm between the defending NFL champion Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers.

The Seahawks have had yet another amazing season going on a spectacular run during the tail end of the season. However,  the Panthers also went on a run after going 3-8-1 and won their first playoff game in nine years after getting into the postseason at 7-8-1. AND ONE! A lot of momentum coming in.

The Panthers are playing the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field!

The Panthers know exactly who Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are. Carolina has hosted Seattle in each of the past three seasons, including a 13-9 loss in Week 8 this season.

But we have some things that Carolina doesn’t have:

The Best Home Field Advantage: The Seahawks are 24-2 at home the past three seasons. CenturyLink Field is one of the toughest places to play in the NFL because of Seattle’s 12th Man, the collective name for their fans. At one point, CenturyLink Field held the Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium in the world.

A Better Quarterback:  The 3rd-round pick has got to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He’s a dual threat. His arm is great but so are his legs! What makes Russell so dangerous is even when he’s scrambling toward the line of scrimmage, he’s still looking to pass and 70% of the time, someone gets open. Wilson runs the ball when he absolutely has to, and that makes him a greater run-pass threat. Wilson has completed 63 percent of his passes this season and has thrown 20 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Russell Wilson also 3-0 against the Panthers and of course Cam Newton is 0-3.

Marshawn Lynch: Lynch rushed for just 1,306 yards this season, making it his sixth time in nine seasons that he’d rush for 1,000 yards or more. He rushed for a career-high 13 touchdowns and he’s lost just one fumble in the past two years. Lynch rushed 52 times in the three games against Carolina.

Defense: The Seahawks have the top pass defense in the NFL. And the number three run defense. The number one scoring defense. And the best defensive backs in the NFL. And they have four All-Pro defenders (Richard Sherman, Bobby Wagner, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas).

And that’s just to name a few!

Kickoff is at 8:15 pm ET on Saturday, January 10 and broadcast locally and nationally on Fox.
