In a piece published Monday by Tom Boswell of The Courier-Mail in Brisbane, Australia, Williams said that he’d agreed to a new deal with the team and would return to Seattle in a couple of weeks.

“The club has restructured my contract and I’ll be heading back in two to three weeks,” Williams told Boswell. ““I’ll keep training while I’m home before going back to camp and back to work.”

Williams, who was projected to be a first or second round pick fell to the fifth round in 2013 reportedly, because of his knee problems. But according to Williams, the injuries that ended both of his professional seasons before they started are a thing of the past.

A healthy Jesse Williams will be a huge help the future defensive line, that had a few holes this season due to a few injuries. He’ll be another player that will be able to make plays, tackles and play really tough in the trenches

“We will have the 17 week season and playoffs and hopefully the Super Bowl,” he said. “We have been there the last two years and hopefully we will get to a third one.”

Edit: It appears that there may be more to the story. No official statements have bee made, but Williams posted the following message on twitter:
