The Best Tight Ends in Seattle Seahawks History
By Paul Novak
Christian Fauria (1995-2001)
Now this is a stat that is pretty telling of the history of the position with the Seahawks.
Fauria is the team leader in receptions among tight ends. Keep in mind that he played seven seasons with the team. In that long of a stretch, Fauria still only managed 166 receptions.
It’s not far-fetched to think that Jimmy Graham could top that quicker than three years. Even if he just manages 60 receptions a year, he’ll become the team’s leading receiver at tight end with a year remaining on his current contract.
But back to Fauria.
His best season came in 1998 when he caught a whopping 37 passes for a staggering 377 yards. He followed that up the next year with 35 receptions and 376 yards.
Fauria’s two most productive seasons essentially equal one good year of Graham.
