The Best Tight Ends in Seattle Seahawks History

Zach Miller (2011-2014)
Unfortunately, Zach Miller was released in a salary cap move on March 6th after missing most of the 2014 season with a nagging ankle injury.
Miller never lived up to the offensive reputation he had earned with the Oakland Raiders, although that wasn’t any fault of his. After being used as an offensive weapon at the start of his career with the Raiders, Miller was used more as an offensive linemen with the Seahawks.
Often he’d be tasked with protecting Russell Wilson or helping clear a path for Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch.
Despite the lack of targets, Miller still managed 102 receptions for 1,092 yards and 8 TD’s.
Clearing his cap space might have been a factor the Seahawks were able to bring in Jimmy Graham and his 4-year $40 million contract just a few days later.
Make no mistake about it. Despite the less than stellar stats, Miller’s time in Seattle was a huge success and directly contributed to the Seahawks winning their first Super Bowl in team history.
