Seattle Seahawks Top Breakout Candidates

2: Kevin Norwood, WR
We heard it all throughout the year in 2014, how good this 6’2″ rookie WR out of Alabama looked in practice. Smooth, polished, mature, with great hands and an uncanny ability to win jump-balls. What we didn’t see was much production on the field to back it up.
Nagging injuries and the quick development of fellow rookie Paul Richardson made it hard for him to make his mark, but he’s again drawing plenty of vocal praise from Pete Carroll and John Schneider this offseason.
The WR competition should be wide open this Summer. Norwood’s body style is similar to Jermaine Kearse, but he has much more upside as a receiving target. The key to his development could be how much chemistry he can build with Wilson in offseason workouts.
BEST-CASE SCENARIO: On skill and potential alone, could win an outside WR spot and start along with Doug Baldwin. Should have leg up on any WR draftees.
