With the elite NFL free agents all finding new homes in the offseason, who else would make sense for the Seattle Seahawks to pursue before the NFL draft?

Entering the new league year the Seahawks had two key areas that everyone knew they were going to need to address. With cornerback Byron Maxwell pricing himself out of a possible return with Seattle, adding a starter opposite Richard Sherman was a priority.

The front office took care of that with the Cary Williams signing, which our own Keith Myers labeled as one of the best contracts handed out this offseason.

Depth in the secondary was also important as Tharold Simon was exposed in the Super Bowl and Jeremy Lane suffered a gruesome injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time.

Again, the need was filled when Seattle brought back corner Will Blackmon.

A new target for Russell Wilson and a threat in the passing game was high on the list as well. The Seahawks released Zach Miller after he failed to pass a physical and that left Luke Willson as the only tight end on the roster that saw quality playing time last season.

General manager John Schneider pulled off a steal when he traded Max Unger to the Saints for one of the NFL’s top tight ends. At 6-foot-7, Jimmy Graham filled both the need to add a dynamic threat to the passing game as well as add a big body for key situations – such as redzone possessions.

With the Seahawks’ top two needs being taken care of, a new one was created when Unger was shipped off to New Orleans. The offensive line now becomes the top priority down the stretch of the offseason and heading into the NFL draft in April and May.

Here are a few of the remaining free agents that the Seahawks could bring in for the upcoming season:
