The Christine Michael Project. Will He Get A Chance?

Coming out of Texas A&M Christine Michael was thought to be a can’t miss talent. Seattle felt great about this second round pick. Why wouldn’t they? A talented quarterback in Russell Wilson, a potential star behind him in the backfield and the best part, they’re both young. A one-two punch until at least 2020.
Yet, with all the excitement and optimism, Seattle forgot to inform Marshawn Lynch.

Lynch is arguably the best running back in the NFL the last two years. He’s powerful, smart, elusive and he is a nightmare for defensive coaches. Is he a little quirky? Sure. Does he get in trouble now and then? Yes. Is there another guy you want running the ball for Seattle? Yeah, probably not.
Michael knows his chances to unseed Lynch as RB-Stud in Seattle are very slim. So really, Michael arrived at the same time Marshawn was getting even better. Definitely not his fault. These things happen in major athletics around the globe. Pretty simple, right? Well……
Something else is going on behind closed doors that is keeping Michael off the field. Pete Carroll isn’t a coach who sits great players. If Seattle really felt Michael could contribute, Michael would play. Marshawn gets tired and the opportunity to plug Michael in the offense sparingly exists. That is unless he’s not showing he can contribute.
What can we expect from Christine Michael in 2015? I have no idea. I just hope if Seattle is still excited about him they find a way to get him on the field consistently.
“All I know was it was cold as hell out there” – Keith Price regarding his time as a Canadian Football Player
Last Thursday Keith Price worked out in front of Carroll and Seattle GM, John Schneider. He’s bigger then he was in camp last year. The ball is zippin all over the field. Price has great skills and a solid work ethic. Will Seattle give him a second chance? Maybe, but guys like Price are why preseason camps are fun to follow. You never know who will defy the odds. My hope in 2015 is that Keith Price will.
