NFL Draft Primer: Seahawks, NFC West, League Chatter

DIVISION DRAFT DEALINGS:
It’s been a relatively quiet time around the division, at least since the Rams made the Bradford-for-Foles QB swap March 13th. It could get a lot louder today.
RAMS: Owners of the 10th pick, at least for now. They have significant needs at OL and WR, and have been thought to covet Miami OT Ereck Flowers. We know GM Les Snead loves to collect draft picks and could possibly move down, get more picks, and still get Flowers. Miami has been mentioned as a possible trade-up partner. If the right OT isn’t on the board for St. Louis, they could go for another playmaker at WR such as Kevin White or DeVante Parker.
49ERS: They are sitting at #15 and have so many needs that line up with the strength of this draft that their options are limitless. They have significant holes to fill at DT, LB, CB and WR. Will they let the draft come to them, or will they make a bold move? Optimum Scouting’s Eric Galko is reporting that they may have a deal in place with the Raiders to move up to the 4th pick, but for who? Amari Cooper? Leonard Williams? Stay tuned.
CARDINALS: Nothing much on the rumor mill with Arizona. At #25, Running Back would seem to be an obvious need and if Melvin Gordon falls this far he would seem to be a no-brainer, but I’m sure Bruce Arians would also consider another impact WR if the board plays out that way. Could be a fit for former UW CB Marcus Peters as well.
