Seattle Seahawks draft profiles: Every 2015 UDFA
By Keith Myers
The NFL is over, but teams are only half-done adding players to their roster today. Every player was went undrafted is now free to sign with any team. It becomes a feed frenzy that is fast and furious.
The Seahawks typically sign around 10 undrafted players each year. They tend to look at linebackers, tight ends, running backs and fullbacks more than other positions. They are also likely to look at nose tackles this year.
The Seahawks have had tremendous success in developing undrafted players under Pete Carroll. Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, and Cooper Helfet were all signed as undrafted free agents. The same goes for Jeron Johnson, Benson Mayowa and Brock Coyle.
So while the players signed today may be disappointed that they did not get drafted, that doesn’t mean that their NFL dreams are over. If they work hard between now and the end of training camp, they could skill make it in the NFL.
Be Sure to check back here often. I will be updating this throughout the evening and through early parts of next week. Here are all of the UDFA signed by the Seahawks, starting with a semi-local kid.
