Number 9 – Cliff Avril
In the two years Avril has been here he has collected 55 tackles, 13 sacks, and a ton of quarterback hurries. He is also a forced fumble machine. He didn’t force many last year but he has 23 over his seven years as a pro.
He is also very durable only missing one game as a Seahawk and eight during his career. When Avril hit free-agency a lot of fans around here thought to themselves how perfect of a fit he would be to eventually replace Chris Clemons, but no one actually believed he’d land here.
The importance of Avril was really noticed in the Super Bowl when he left with a concussion. These are Brady’s stats with Cliff wasn’t on the field: 22-27, for 214 yards and three touchdowns. When he was on the field Brady was 15-23, for 101 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. You can see his importance just with these numbers alone.
If he doesn’t leave that game we are back to back Super Bowl Champions.
Next will be numbers 7 and 8.
