CHRISTINE MICHAEL, RB:

Christine Michael has been billed as the heir apparent to Marshawn Lynch ever since he was surprisingly selected in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft.  Since then, Lynch has appeared to get stronger with age and more determined to hang around, and Michael has been inconsistent and disappointing.  Even with increased opportunities last preseason he was unable to unseat Robert Turbin as the #2 back.  We’ve heard good things about how he looks in practice, but we’ve heard that before.

We’ve also heard good things about two undrafted rookies, Rod Smith and Thomas Rawls.

The Seahawks are deep and talented at the running back position, maybe as much as anyone in the league.

Michael could be the odd man out when all is said and done. And with no trade market for RB’s, the only choice if he doesn’t step up and earn a spot on the 53 man roster would be to release him.
