Jesse Williams is more than just a camp story
Jesse Williams has been a feel-good story since camp began. It has been less than three months since defensive tackle Williams had a kidney removed as part of his cancer treatment. That he is back out on the field at all is a big deal.
On the field, he showed that he can be a big deal as well. Williams didn’t get many snaps, but when he did he made an impact. He showed that he still has the strength to be a big-time run stuffer in the middle.
Williams is still working himself back into shape. It’ll take him a couple more weeks before he’s fully back and ready show us everything he’s got, but the early returns were positive.
