Cassius Marsh
Marsh was practically invisible as a rookie last year. He didn’t make much of an impact early in the season, and then landed on Injured Reserve.
Marsh appears to have used the time off wisely. He looks much faster and more explosive this year. He was dominate at times in training camp, and feasted on Seattle’s backup offensive tackles.
Marsh also spent time working out at SAM linebacker as a backup for Bruce Irvin. While he won’t see snaps there regularly, that versatility will help him get more opportunities this season.
The Seahawks will be able to drop drop Marsh into coverage while blitzing linebackers elsewhere. That is the type of thing that will get Marsh on the field more than you might expect.
Plus, the Seahawks unveiled a NASCAR package for third and long during the preseason. That sub package had Avril, Bennett, Clark, and Marsh all on the field at the same time. That package will feast on QBs, and allow Marsh to make a major impact this season.
