But after a preseason heavy in on-the-job-training (offensive line) and rookie standout performances (Tyler Lockett and Frank Clark), and light on Wilson/Graham/Lynch, it’s safe to assume that someone will step out of the shadows to be a big contributor in St. Louis.

It hasn’t even been a week since the veteran Buffalo Bills castoff was signed, but we’ve already heard about how good he’s looking in practice and how quickly he’s picked up the playbook. We know he’ll have a big role as Lynch’s primary backup this season, but we may see him contribute in a big way as soon as week #1:

"“He’ll play a lot. He ran the whole offense today. I don’t know how he got it all done, but he got it done today so I would think he’ll be ready to go.” – Pete Carroll on Fred Jackson."
