Tyler Lockett – Stock Up
The rookie wide receiver introduced himself to the Rams in a big way with a 57-yard punt return touchdown in the first quarter. Lockett has great burst and he showed it off on the big punt return. He catches the ball on the run, and is very decisive in making his cuts. Lockett averaged 31 yards on his 2 punt returns, and ran back a pair of kickoffs for an average of 28 yards.
The Seahawks also did a nice job getting Tyler Lockett in open space with bubble screens and quick passes. The Kansas State alum impressed me with a grab along the sideline during the extra period. He finished with 4 catches for 34 yards in his professional debut.
Last week, I predicted Pocket Lockett would make the Pro Bowl as a returner this season. Hopefully the 22-year-old continues to wreak havoc in the kicking game this weekend against the Green Bay Packers.
