Russell Wilson – Stock Down

Russell Wilson was not awful this week, however he was not impressive either. Wilson completed 32 of his 41 pass attempts for 251 yards. He threw 1 touchdown pass and 1 interception. Wilson also added 31 yards rushing on 8 attempts.

Those stats are by no means bad, but there were a few areas Wilson needed to be better in. The first issue for Wilson was the fact that he held onto the ball far too long. The Rams have a very talented front seven, and Russell was sacked 6 times. Obviously, some of the blame goes to the offensive line, but Wilson needs to accept that throwing the ball away is sometimes the best course of action.

I also felt that Wilson did a poor job getting Jimmy Graham involved. On numerous occasions, Wilson did not appear to even look at the superstar tight end. Graham was double covered for much of the game, but he is guy who has demonstrated an ability to make catches with defenders draped all over him. Wilson did get the ball to Graham int he fourth quarter and overtime. Hopefully, their relationship continues to develop this week against the Pack.
