Marshawn Lynch – Stock Up
Beastmode racked up 73 yards on 18 carries, good for a 4.1 yard average. He was forced to create his own running room, as the offensive line did a poor job opening up holes. Lynch also reeled in 5 passes for 31 yards. He did not reach the end zone, but Lynch did break the threshold on a key 2-pt conversion.
Lynch had a signature run in the first quarter, gaining 24 yards with a couple of defenders hanging off him. Something special happens to the Oakland, CA product after contact, and it sure is fun to watch.
The 29-year-old was very effective in short yardage situations, consistently moving the chains on third down. Lynch came up short on the final play, but multiple defenders penetrated the backfield and he had no chance to escape.
