The best play from the Seahawks and Packers game
By Zachary Wnek
Seahawks fans, although we are 0-2 the sky is not falling. Keep the faith. Our boys come home this weekend to play da’ Bears and I think we all know how that will go with a backup quarterback in play. But let’s take a moment to look at the best play from the Seahawks and Packers game last weekend.

This week the best play from the Seahawks and Packers game came in the fourth quarter. Following a dominant Seahawks performance in the third quarter, the Packers were driving.
The Packers had just gotten into field goal range as the ball was on the Seahawks 34 yard line. Rodgers motions his running back out into a wide receiver position, two wide to the left, three wide to the right.
Rogers snaps the ball and throws a quick two yard out play to Ty Montgomery, a rookie out of Stanford. Montgomery was lined up in the inside position on the right side of the formation.
Montgomery had the other two receivers blocking for him down field as the play was designed. Once Montgomery caught the ball he turned up field, bounces off of a Richard Sherman form tackle, pinballs off of a mighty Bobby Wagner hit and is eventually forced out of bounds by DeShawn Shead after a gain of 17 yards.

This play was the best play of the Seahawks and Packers game not because it was controversial, or because anybody scored on the play. It demonstrated the ease of which the Packers could move the ball in the fourth quarter going after some of the Seahawks strongest players late in the game. Aaron Rodgers found a way to shred our defense and get into the end zone.
This game made me glad that the Seahawks are coming back home to Seattle this week. They look like a team that could use some home cooking and loud 12s.
I’m looking forward to watching the Seahawks rebound and re-gain some of their defensive swagger after allowing a combined 61 points in only two games. I’m not worried, let’s all be thankful that these hiccups are happening at the beginning of the season rather than the end. We can be better, we will be better, go Hawks!
