Stock Up – Offensive Line
The Seahawks’ offensive line took a lot of heat after their rough performance in St. Louis. They deserved much of their bad press, but the unit proved more than capable of protecting Russell Wilson this week at Lambeau Field.
All told, Seattle allowed just 2 sacks against a very talented Packers’ front. They combined to form a comfortable pocket for Russell, which played a key role in the Hawks’ productive third quarter. Green Bay stacked the box all night, but the Seahawks still managed to rack up 119 yards rushing. The holes may not have been huge, but Wilson and Lynch consistently gained yards on the ground.
Drew Nowak looked uncomfortable in week 1, but he was much improved this week against the Pack. The Green Bay native put on a show in front of his friends and family, limiting B.J. Raji to a pair of tackles. Nowak also did a much better job snapping the ball cleanly to Wilson in the shotgun. It will be interesting to see how the 25-year-old handles his first home game this weekend.
