Seattle Seahawks vs. Bears: Inactives
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks host the Chicago Bears this afternoon. This is a very important game for the Seahawks, who cannot afford to drop to 0-3.
The Seahawks inactive list is without some big names that looked like they could miss the week. The Bears aren’t so lucky, as they’re missing some very important players.
Here are the inactive players for both teams:
Seahawks Inactives
The only big surprise here is tight end Luke Willson. He’s out with a back injury. Cooper Helfet will have to pick up slack in the team’s two TE sets. The Seahawks will miss Willson’s blocking, since both Helfet and starter Jimmy Graham are horrible as blockers.
It is interesting that both BJ Daniels and Will Tukuafu are inactive with Willson out. His absence opens up a spot for another offensive player, but the Seahawks chose to dress neither of them. It makes me wonder why either is still on the roster at this point.
Mike Morgan is finally healthy. He’s been out with a hamstring injury since the third preseason game.
Of course, the big news here is that Kam Chancellor is back and will start. He’s been out with a “contract injury” since training camp began.
It should also be noted that Marshawn Lynch is active. He was listed as questionable with calf injury.
Bears Inactives
Lets see: No Jay Cutler. No Alshon Jeffery. Those were expected.
Eddie Royal is hurt, but will play apparently. That means that Jimmy Clausen will have at least one experienced receiver to throw to. That’s something, right?
