Seattle Seahawks Injury Report Week 8 – SEA v DAL

Seattle Seahawks released their Thursday injury report and it was mostly good news.

Wednesday, head coach Pete Carroll seemed quite pleased when he spoke of injuries and the 53-man roster. Carroll said they were in great shape going into week 8, expecting almost every player to be ready for the game, expecting a full roster to choose from on Sunday.

Thursday proved him right. The only players limited were running back Thomas Rawls, defensive end Cliff Avril and tackle Russell Okung. Rawls, who has been battling a calf injury, is presumed to be questionable for Sunday. Avril (ankle) and Okung (toe) seem to be expected to play.

Every other player listed on Wednesday was full practice on Thursday. Corner back Marcus Burley who had surgery on his hand a few weeks back was back as a full participant at practice. Burley was playing well when he was injured and will be a welcome addition back to game day roster.

Fullback Derrick Coleman was also listed as full practice today. This is his first week back since he was in a car accident in mid October. The team has suspended him after he was arrested initially for hit and run, but reinstated him after he was released. The incident is still being investigated.

Defensive end Michael Bennett was the only player that didn’t practice at all on Thursday. He seems to be taking a page from Marshawn Lynch’s book and taking a rest day, as many vets do.

On the Dallas Cowboys side, the big story of course is Dez Bryant. The superstar wide receiver has been injured since the beginning of the season and is set to come back soon. How soon seems to be up in the air. Bryant is still limited in practice and even if he does play, its unlikely he’d play the entire game.

Seattle is looking quite good for it being mid season. The Seahawks go into a bye week after this week’s game with a fairly healthy roster.
