Seahawks favored, but no one is accepting bets
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks are favored in their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but good luck finding someone to accept a bet on that game.
The Seattle Seahawks are big favorites for their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. At least we think they are. It is almost impossible to find a line for the game from someone that is actually accepting bets.
Vegas Insider lists the Seahawks at six-point favorites at the moment. The problem with that is that they only have 1 sports book that’ll commit to a line on the game, and that book has the Seahawks as nine-point favorites.
All of the other sports books that they poll to create their “consensus” line refuse to set lines on the game, and aren’t accepting bets at the moment. Even all of the “offshore” casinos won’t touch this game.
The same is true at Bovada, which is the site that most media company reference when quoting betting lines. At the time of writing this, they had lines set for ever game in the NFL except for this one. They also aren’t accepting bets on the game.
The Ravens are missing starters all over the field. They should get blown out in this game, but clearly the casino’s are afraid to set a line and then have Baltimore keep it uncomfortably close.
