Seattle Seahawks Injury Report Week 14 – Seattle at Baltimore

When looking at the Seattle Seahawks injury report for week 14, fans can be nothing but happy. Seriously, how many teams in the league can say that they only have three, yes THREE, players on their report? I’m not doing the research but I bet it’s not a lot.

For the second week in a row, defensive end Demarcus Dobbs didn’t practice due to a concussion that he suffered in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has been ruled out for the game against Baltimore, and will continue to go through concussion protocol.

This was also defensive tackle Jordan Hill’s second week not practicing. He also sustained an injury against the Steelers, his being his toe. He is doubtful for this week’s game. Pete Carroll said after practice that Hill wouldn’t play.

Running back Marshawn Lynch has already been ruled out for this week’s game as he is still recovering from his abdominal surgery he had a few weeks ago. It sounds like the plan is that he’ll be back for the playoffs if not a week or so earlier. Coach Carroll has stated they aren’t rushing him back before he’s ready.

Defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril were both listed on Thursday as not practicing, yet both absences were non-injury related. Sounds like the vets had a rest day.

The Baltimore Raven’s injury report wasn’t quite as compact as the Seahawks. The Ravens have ten players listed on their injury report, including quarterback Matt Schaub. Schaub has been the starter since QB Joe Flacco went out for the season. If Schaub can’t play, QB Jimmy Clausen will get the nod, making this the second time this season he’s played against Seattle. Clausen was the starter when Seattle played the Chicago Bears in September.

Famed linebacker Elvis Dumerville is one of the other big names listed for Baltimore. He has a back injury and hasn’t practiced all week.

All in all, if things stay pat and no one gets hurt in practice, the Seattle Seahawks should be in fine form heading into Balimore.
