Seattle Seahawks Injury Report Week 15: CLE v SEA

There are some big names on the Seattle Seahawks injury report this week.

After two weeks on the road, and winning the last 6 of 7 games, the Seattle Seahawks come home to face the Cleveland Browns. Both teams have quite a long list of names on the injury report.

No surprise to anyone, running back Marshawn Lynch has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Most believe he will return at the earliest for the last game of the regular season, but it might be the playoffs before we see Beast Mode back on the field.

Tight end Anthony McCoy (knee), safety Kam Chancellor (pelvis), and defensive tackle Jordan Hill (toe) were no go for practice Wednesday and Thursday this week. This will be the third week for Hill and it looks like he won’t be back anytime soon.

Most concerning is Chancellor’s pelvis/tailbone injury. In Wednesday’s press conference, head coach Pete Carroll said Chancellor would be “real quiet” in practice this week and they’d have to wait and see if he could come back this weekend. This would leave a huge hole in the secondary for Seattle.

Defensive end Michael Bennett was limited in practice today. During the Ravens game last week, he injured his toe. Carroll told the press he believes Bennett will play on Sunday.

Cornerback DeShawn Shead was also limited in practice due to an ankle injury. Carroll said Shead looked good his first day back but would have to see what happens the rest of the week before a decision could be made.

Tight End Luke Wilson and DE Demarcus Dobbs both practiced fully today. This will be Dobbs first game back after suffering a concussion in the game against the Pittsburg Steelers three weeks ago. Dobbs has missed the last two games.

The Cleveland Browns have quite the extensive injury list, including three players out with concussions. Corner back Justin Gilbert, wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, and running back Glenn Winston all were absent from practice due to concussion protocol.
