Seahawks vs Rams: Inactives and roster analysis

The Seattle Seahawks will be a bit shorthanded against the St. Louis Rams. There are a lot of starters who will not be in uniform today.

Kickoff of the Seattle Seahawks’ final home game of the regular season is about 90 minutes away. That means it is time for both teams to release their list of inactive players for this week.

For the Seahawks, their list of 7 required inactives is mostly of injured players. With their playoff spot already secured, there is no incentive for them to play guys who are banged up.

Seahawks Inactives

  • Marshall Lynch
  • Kam Chancellor
  • Russell Okung
  • Chase Caffman
  • AJ Francis
  • Kristjan Sokoli
  • Jordan Hill

That is a lot of big names for the Seattle Seahawks that won’t be playing in this game. Marshall Lynch might be the biggest name, but his absence is expected. Next week is the earliest that he’ll play.

In the mean time, it’ll be Christine Michael and Bryce Brown in the backfield. Both will play early in the game, and the team will ride the hot hand once both players have played in a couple of series.

Kam Chancellor is out again. There was some hope that he’d play this week, but that won’t happen. Kelcie McCray will make his second straight start in Chancellor’s place.

Doug Baldwin is aClive . He was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. The Seahawks hintend that Baldwin wouldn’t be playing when they called up Kasen Williams on Saturday. Baldwin will play, but it is unclear if he will see his normal amount of snaps.

Also out will be starting left tackle Russell Okung. He missed most of last week’s game with a strained calf, and he isn’t ready to return yet. In his place will be Alvin Bailey.

Rams Inactives

There are no surprising on this list for St. Louis. The Rams enter this game relatively heathy.
