More Seahawks Superlatives from The Tonight Show
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks were once again the subject of The Tonight Show’s “Superlatives” segment.
It is playoff time, and that means that the Seattle Seahawks are again the subject for The Tonight Show and host Jimmy Fallon’s infamous “Superlatives.” In the segment, Fallon takes old pics of NFL players and hands out “Most likely to…” awards like you’d find in a high school yearbook.
Included this time are Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, J.R. Sweezy, Luke Willson, Michael Bennett, and Will Tukuafu. Here’s the entire video in case you haven’t seen it:
This isn’t the first time that Fallon and company have used the Seahawks in this segment. Seattle’s playoff success the last few seasons has meant that They’ve been regular victims of Fallon’s silliness.
Before anyone gets upset, keep in mind that it is all done in good fun. The players find it amusing. A bunch of NFL stars even read their Superlatives back at the start of the season.
The Seahawks even joined in in their own way. They sent Fallon a video of “Seahawks Superlatives” about Fallon that were equally hilarious.
Fallon enjoyed it, and actually shared it in his show.
The best part (other than Marshawn’s “cameo” at the end) might be Jon Ryan pretending to not have any idea who Fallon is. Ryan has been trying to challenge Fallon to a lip-sync battle for some time.
This newest segment leaves us with only one question: What will the Seahawks do to get back at Fallon this time? Whatever they do, I’m sure it’ll be hilarious.
