Seahawks: Inactives for Wild Card matchup vs Vikings
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks will once against be without Marshawn Lynch this week, as well as a few other injured starters.
We’re only about 90 minutes from kickoff for the Wild Card playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings. That means it is time for the teams to release their lists of inactive players.
The biggest story pregame might not even be who is playing and who isn’t. The weather continues to be what everyone is talking about. Game-time temperatures should be about 5 degrees, with wind chills well below zero.
Seahawks Inactives
Unless you’ve been completely disconnected from the internet for the last 36 hours, then you likely already know that Marshawn Lynch isn’t going to play. He isn’t even in Minnesota with the team.
Lynch made it through every practice this week, but informed the team just before everyone boarded the bus for airport that he wasn’t ready to play. Christine Michael will make his third start of the season in his place.
Luke Willson will miss another week after suffering a concussion against the Rams two weeks ago. He looked like he was going to be ready, but then had a relapse of his symptoms on Thursday and was ruled out for this week’s game. Chase Coffman is the man who’ll be expected to pick up most of the production in Willson’s place.
The rest of the team is healthy, so the normal group of inactives are here with no real surprises except for Kevin Pierre-Lewis. It is unknown why the team’s 4th LB was left of the active roster today.
It is worth noting that Kam Chancellor is back. Kelcie McCray has filled in extremely well while Chancellor has been out, but the team will be happy to have their enforcer back.
Vikings Inactives
As expected, Adrian Peterson is active and will play. He may be limited because of his injured back (especially in this cold), but he’ll definitely be out there for Minnesota.
There are no real surprises here. The Vikings come into this game mostly healthy.
