Rams moving to LA will keep Seahawks in NFC

NFL owners have approved the immediate relocation of the Rams from St. Louis to Los Angeles.
The news is flowing fast and furiously out of the NFL owners meetings today, as the league moved swiftly to resolve the issue of which two teams would be granted the right to relocate to the LA area. In an extremely complicated process which involves three potential teams and two stadium sites, one thing was clear as the meetings wrapped for the day; the Rams are moving to Los Angeles, effective immediately. They will play their games at the Los Angeles Coliseum until a new stadium in Inglewood can be finished.

This news impacts the Seattle Seahawks, and the news is all good. It means one less 10:00am PST road trip each year. It also means saying goodbye to the Edward Jones Dome, where the Seahawks have lost three of their last four games against the Rams, and four out of seven.
What does this mean to the Rams franchise as a whole? Even though owner Stan Kroenke has said head coach Jeff Fisher’s job is safe for 2016, there’s been speculation that a move to LA could prompt a major organizational reboot, although it also makes sense that such sweeping changes could wait until their new permanent home is finished. For now, at least, it appears Fisher is clearly still in the Rams plans:

Whatever the case, and as disappointing as this must be for Rams fans, this was the best-case scenario for the Seahawks.
