OUTSIDE LINEBACKER:

Free agent starter Bruce Irvin is a free agent himself, and just might get the kind of offer from another team that the Seahawks feel is too rich to match. If so, there isn’t an obvious successor on the roster, as Kevin Pierre-Louis hasn’t shown the ability to stay on the field and be effective.

With that in mind, here are a couple veteran possibilities:

Von Miller, Denver, 26, $9.8 million 2015 cap hit. Yeah…..right!!!!

Nick Perry, Green Bay, 25, $2.4 million. Inconsistent career for the Packers after being drafted in the first round in 2012. May not be an ideal fit for the same role Irvin played, but played for Pete Carroll at USC.

Mark Barron, LA Rams, 26, $2.4 million. Remember those crazy predraft rumors in 2012 that the Seahawks loved Barron so much they were considering taking him in the first round and moving Kam Chancellor to OLB? Well, we never got to found out if they were true as Barron went 7th overall to Tampa Bay. Well he never became the star he was projected to be so the Bucs traded him to the Rams in 2014. He was then moved to OLB after an injury to Alec Ogeltree. How bizarre would it be if he came to Seattle to play……. OLB?
