Marshawn Lynch Retires with a Peace Sign Emoji
Marshawn Lynch tells the world he is retiring from football in unique fashion, but nothing new to this man of little words.
Marshawn Lynch posted a picture of hanging cleats on twitter with an emoji peace sign shortly after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that he planned to retire.
His last season at the Seattle Seahawks came with an injury early in the season and little play ending his season with 417 yards.. And when he did play he wasn’t as effective as he normally was causing Thomas Rawls and other running backs to step up and take most of the rushing load.
Lynch is leaving an amazing nine season career behind. He was the 12th man drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills from California.
He came into the NFL as the starting running back for the Bills. His first game was on September 9 where he gained 90 yards on 19 carries and scored his first touchdown in a loss to the Denver Broncos. He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. He has a career 2,144 rushing attempts, 9,112 yards and 74 touchdowns.
Marshawn Lynch, Beast Mode, will go down as one of the best and effective backs in Seahawks history.
