10 free agents that make sense for the Seahawks

With the NFL free agency upon us, it’s time to crank up the team-building phase of the off season. Here’s a look at 10 free agents that make sense for the Seahawks.
The Seahawks aren’t likely to jump right in and make a big splash early in the free agency period, which begins today at 9:00am PST with the “legal tampering period.” During that time, agents can negotiate terms with teams. Contracts can officially be signed beginning Wednesday at 1:00pm PST.

Look instead for Seattle to first try and retain some of their own free agents, and then target younger, up-and-coming players, or reasonably-priced veterans on short-term deals to fill key needs prior to the draft. We know there are significant needs on the offensive line, at corner back, defensive line, and possibly outside linebacker. They could also look to add running back depth, or another wide receiver to replace Jermaine Kearse, one of their free agents who has announced he will look to sign elsewhere.
