A full seven round Seattle Seahawks mock draft, that predicts the Seahawks trading down in the first round, and stocking up on linemen early in the draft.

Free agency is over, so the draft needs for the Seattle Seahawks are crystal clear. This is a year where the Seahawks cannot sit back and take the best player available to supplement an already-stacked roster. For the first time in years, the Seahawks must find multiple starters.

For this mock draft, I used the simulator from first-pick. The database that it uses for player values isn’t as accurate as some of the other simulators, but the it does allow for trades to be made. Given John Schneider’s affinity for trading down early in his drafts, it is easy to see why this simulator was chosen.

The basic strategy employed here was fairly simple:

  • Acquire more picks
  • Improve depth everywhere
  • Secure short-term and long-term solutions on both lines.

While I think I accomplished those goals, the overall draft didn’t exactly turn out the way I had hoped. Take look and you’ll see what I mean.
