CHRIS POLK, RB, Houston

The Seahawks met with Polk last summer and were on the verge of signing him when the Texans swooped in and made a better offer. Playing behind Arian Foster and Alfred Blue, Polk had 99 rushing attempts for 334 yards and a TD, while also catching 16 passes for 109 yards and another TD. He’s only 26 years old, doesn’t have a lot of mileage on his tires, and fits the exact physical mold the Hawks like in their backs at 5’10” and 224 lbs. And he could certainly be had at the veteran minimum.

The Hawks are going to add a couple more bodies to compete for carries with Thomas Rawls and Christine Michael. Could the former University of Washington Husky be one of them? He’s also a willing and effective player on special teams. something the Seahawks always value.
