STEFEN WISNIEWSKI, C, Jacksonville Jaguars

We’ve been down this road before. Last spring the Seahawks hosted “Wiz” on a two day visit and were thought to be on the verge of signing him after dealing away Max Unger. But he left town without a deal, later latching on with the Jags on a one-year contract.

Concerns about his shoulder were cited as the reason interest in him was tepid, but then he started every game in Jacksonville last season. He’s still just 27, and while he’ll never show up on any post-season All Pro teams, he’s a consistent, reliable center and would be a clear upgrade over Patrick Lewis.

Signing Wisniewski before the draft wouldn’t make sense, but if they fail to land a center in the draft capable of starting as a rookie, getting him in after May 12th certainly would.
