5th round (32nd pick): CHARONE PEAK, WR, Clemson

Not usually available this late, which is why first-pick.com gave me an A+ for this selection. Peak is an elite athlete with speed, quickness and size. His downside? Small hands and a tendency for drops (9.1% of this targets last year). But in this range, taking a chance on a receiver with this much upside is a no-brainer.

6th round (40th pick): JORDAN LUCAS, CB/S, Penn State

Lucas doesn’t have the arm length the Seahawks typically like in their corner backs, but has the versatility to play both spots, which is something they’ve always valued. He’s also a team captain known for his leadership skills. Of all my picks in this mock, this one is the least likely fit in Seattle, but he was great value here, and the team seems to be spending a lot of time looking at secondary players who project more in than slot than on the outside.

7th round (4th pick): DANIEL BRAVERMAN, WR, Western Michigan

May seem like a luxury pick after taking Peake in the 5th, but Braverman is a unique talent who visited VMAC this week. At 5’10” he’s purely a slot receiver, but watch his tape and you see a Wes Welker clone who runs incredibly crisp routes. And if you want production, how about 109 catches for 1,367 yards and 13 TD’s last year? There are indications the Hawks are looking for players who can work well with the ball in space on shorter, quicker routes. Braverman fits that mold to a tee.

7th round (26th pick): VICTOR OCHI, OLB, Stony Brook

Standing only 6’1″ but with long arms and explosive quickness, Ochi racked up 13 sacks last year. Obviously, he hasn’t played against top competition, but scouts came away impressed by his pro day workout. The Seahawks have needs for competition at outside linebacker and Ochi could be a weapon if used properly.
