5 draft sleepers who fit the Seattle Seahawks
By Dan Viens
JOE THUNEY, OL, North Carolina State
Of all the names we hear attached to the Seahawks as possible offensive line draftees, I have yet to hear Thuney’s.
Maybe we should.

Let’s consider the list of traits Tom Cable and the Seahawks like in their offensive line prospects:
- Versatility – check, Thuney played guard and tackle for NC State, on both sides of the line.
- Athleticism – check, Thuney ran a 4.93 40 at the scouting combine, with a 28.5″ vertical, a 9’1″ broad jump and 28 reps on the bench.
- Smart – check, Thuney scored a 39 on his Wonderlic test at the combine (that’s a HIGH score) and graduated Cum Laude.
And there’s one other thing; Thuney projects best as a guard in a zone blocking scheme. Check!
