5 players I hope the Seattle Seahawks don’t draft
By Keith Myers
2) Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
Don’t get me wrong; I like Spriggs. I think he can be a good player, and his athletic profile suggests that he’ll be a great fit for a zone blocking scheme. I’m just not prepared to use a first-round pick on a player with such obvious technique flaws.
Spriggs is a guy that belongs in the third round. He’s a high upside but low floor player that needs a technique overhaul. He doesn’t use his hands well, and lets defenders get into his body way too often. The talent is there, but it is clear that the game moves too fast for him at times.
