Seattle Seahawks: 5 “Best Case Scenario” options in Round 1
By Keith Myers
3. Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State
The Seahawks don’t need a RB, even with the retirement of Marshawn Lynch. Thomas Rawls is the future at the position in Seattle. Plus, Christine Michael showed at the end of last season that he’s finally ready to be a major contributor.
Elliot is the type of talent that you simply don’t pass on if he’s there at 26. As a RB, he’s got everything you could possibly want: Power, speed, vision, agility, hands. He is every bit as good as 2015 rookie of the year Todd Gurley, but without all the injury issues.
And that is ultimately the problem for Seattle. Even with the RB position completely de-valued in the NFL, someone in the middle of the first round will happily pick up Elliot and not think twice about doing so.
