3) Earl Thomas

Thomas was the second player drafted in the John Schneider and Pete Carroll era, after Russell Okung.  Being a first round selection carries high expectations by fans and the media, but Thomas exceeded all of those expectations.  He started 16 games as a rookie and has never missed a regular season game in his NFL career.

Thomas is currently one of the best players in the NFL and he is everything a coach wants in a player.  Earl Thomas plays with a ridiculous amount of hustle and competiveness, carrying that energy all the way to his teammates, coaches and the entire organization.  He is a no nonsense player and his mindset is what keeps the Seahawks on track.

When the Seahawks drafted Thomas in the first round, they made the right choice for a player that can inspire this franchise.  Although it was a first round selection, which might seem like an easy pick, there were many other options at the #14 slot and the Seahawks made the perfect decision with Earl Thomas.
