The Steelers never had a backup plan for Troy Polamalu when he retired and are in desperate need of a safety. Enter fellow USC Trojan Cravens. He finished his college career as an outside linebacker but began it as a safety and never really bulked up. At worst he could play a hybrid position as he’s equally adept in pass coverage or getting after the quarterback.
