Which players out of this year’s list of official VMAC visitors might actually end up becoming Seahawks?

Each year, every NFL team is allowed to host 30 prospects at their facilities before the draft. Some of these are top-rated prospects, while others are being eyed as undrafted free agent possibilities. It gives the teams a chance to get to know a player more intimately than at the cattle call known as the scouting combine.

Some of these visits are surely used as smoke screens, but the Seahawks have a history of drafting players who were among those visiting the VMAC before the draft. Examples include Bobby Wagner, Paul Richardson, Christine Michael and Cassius Marsh in years past.

Last year at this time I took a look at the list and tried to break down which category some of the visitors fell into. Among the 2015 guests who eventually ended up making the Seahawks roster included 2nd round pick Frank Clark, 4th rounder Mark Glowinski, 6th rounder Kristjan Sokoli and UDFA signee Josh Shirley.

And so, let’s do it again!  Here’s a look at some of the VMAC visitors, broken down into three categories:

  1. POSSIBLE DRAFTEES
  2. PRIORITY FREE AGENT CANDIDATES
  3. WILD CARDS
