Future Seahawks? Which 2016 VMAC visitors stand out?
By Dan Viens
POSSIBLE PRIORITY FREE AGENT TARGETS:
- Marcus Henry, C, Boise State
- George Fant, TE, Eastern Kentucky
- Christian French, OLB, Oregon
- Justin Murray, OT, Cincinnati
- Zac Brooks, RB, Clemson
- Will Parks, S, Arizona
Henry played at Bellevue High School and has reportedly had the Hawks interest for awhile. Fant is a former basketball player who looks like a possible TE project. French is a long, athletic OLB but wasn’t even a full time starter at Oregon. Brooks is an exciting running back prospect but is coming off an injury.
WILD CARDS:
- Moritz Boehringer, WR/TE, Germany
- Daniel Braverman, WR, Western Michigan
- William Jackson III, CB, Houston
- Rashard Robinson, CB, LSU
Boehringer is an athletic freak we featured a couple weeks ago. Scouts were so blown away by his recent workout it might require a draft pick to guarantee his services. There would likely be a bidding war if he goes undrafted. Jackson III is an outstanding CB prospect who’s shooting up draft boards. He doesn’t seem to be a fit at #26, so his inclusion on the visit list was a bit of a mystery. Robinson is a long, intriguing CB candidate also, but ran into a bunch of trouble at LSU and hasn’t played organized football in two years.

At first glance, Braverman doesn’t seem to be a fit. He’s a 5’10” pure slot receiver, but he’s the best route runner in the draft and highly productive. Sound familiar? This is what we were saying about Tyler Lockett last year. There’s a lot of buzz around Braverman and it looks like he’s going to be drafted. As the Seahawks look for more quick-twitch weapons for Russell Wilson, he could be added to the mix.
