4-2 (100 overall, from CLE): Devon Cajuste, WR, Stanford.

Does Seattle go after a big wide receiver in the draft or do they work the UDFA market again? That is the question. If they try in the draft then Cajuste makes sense. He’s not an elite athlete, but he is tall and strong at the point of attack. He is also a willing and skilled blocker in the run game. I’m not convinced Seattle will spend a 4th round draft pick on a spot receiver, but they may have that luxury as a contender with relatively few roster holes.

Cajuste does not have a ton of upside due to some athletic limitations, but he would provide a big target for Russell Wilson in the red zone or down the field similar to what Chris Matthews did in Super Bowl XLIX.

Alternate: Justin Simmons, FS, Boston College.

Simmons is the top SPARQ safety for this class so you know he is on Seattle’s radar. I’m putting him on my “alternate” list because he’s probably going to be gone by the time Seattle would consider him. The other safety I considered in this area is Miles Killebrew from Southern Utah. I’m starting to see what John Schneider is talking about…so many players to love and not enough picks to get them all.

Seattle trades 124th overall pick to Oakland for the 143rd and 194th picks

I think Seattle covets picks in the early 5th and 6th rounds and trading back from their native 4th rounder is one method to make this happen.
