Right Guard:

Starter: Germain Ifedi

At first it sounded like the Seahawks were going to start Ifedi out at right tackle, but now they have their mind set on him playing right guard during his first year.  This is the right decision to ease Ifedi into the NFL, and he has experience playing right guard in college.  He should be able to win this position battle during training camp.

Backup: Kristjan Sokoli

Pete Carroll still likes Sokoli at center, but now with the draft pick of Joey Hunt it looks like Sokoli’s best option might be at guard.  Sokoli could be a good backup at either guard spot this coming season, and a potential starter in 2017 if he continues to improve.  Sokoli is very athletic and has a ton of potential, but we haven’t seen him put it all together quite yet.
