Five Seahawk players on the roster bubble
By Dan Viens
Jordan Hill, DT
Despite landing at #16 on our recent list of the 25 Best Seahawk Players, Hill looks to definitely be on the bubble. Not because he isn’t talented, but because he’s yet to fulfill what once looked like vast potential.
In 2014, Hill had a stretch where he terrorized enemy QB’s as a sub-package interior rusher. Recording 4.5 of his 5.5 sacks that season over the last four games, most of us thought the Seahawks had found our next Clinton McDonald (or, for your older fans, Rocky Bernard).
Since then, however, Hill has zero sacks.
Meanwhile, the team added Quinton Jefferson out of Maryland in the draft, a player who specializes in……..rushing the quarterback. They also spent a 2nd round pick on Alabama’s Jarran Reed and signed veteran Sealver Siliga in free agency.
Hill needs to figure out how to get to the passer again if he wants to lock up a spot on the 2016 roster.
